Joined by his loyal friend, Keaf; his benefactor’s son, Speyd; and Tocarra, a former thief who’s future becomes inextricably tied to Plover’s; these four orphans set off in search of the DragonStar, a stone only visible to one of Royal blood.

Dark Faeries, wild beasts, giant water monsters, a dark Magician, and full army of men ordered to stop them, hinder the foursome as they search for the DragonStar. With the help of Safina, the tiny imp of a Magician, and the kindness of strangers, Plover and his friends fight to defy the dark Magic that threatens to destroy Velania’s heart. Friendships are tested and loyalties tried in an epic battle of Magic and Royal blood - all for a stone that will save the world as they know it.
