Life caught me...

Sorry I haven't been around a ton. Real life smacked me upside the head and did a tap dance on my forehead. But wow, have I got news for you!!

First, if you've visited my home page, you'll know already that I've added a great little indie con that is absolutely family friendly for EVERYONE that is happening here in Olympia in July. I hope that if you're in the Pacific Northwest on the I-5 corridor, that I'll see you at Evergreen Community College at the Capital IndieBook Con.

Next, I got quite the surprise from Dreams and Screams Book Blog. A surprise and an honor that made my yucky Friday a million times better. Apparently, our feisty grizzly of a Green twin, Adam, won 3rd place in the DNSB Reader's Choice Awards for 2015 as a fan favorite businessman book boyfriend! WOW!

And... AND, Maggie and Josh Daniels from The Artist's Touch Epic Romance won 3rd place for favorite book parents! Holy buckets, I totally love my readers. To everyone who voted for Adam and Maggie & Josh... thank you, a million times over. ♥

Now I just need to survive the end of school crazy, middle nerdling play insanity, baby nerdling getting ready for summer camps and fall football, and eldest nerdling getting her stuff together to start college next year and taking a month long vacation back east this summer... I need a lovely get away somewhere. LOL

Welcome April and the glory of Spring!

Spring is my very favorite season. I love the fresh smells, the beautiful flowers, and gorgeous return of color. The weather is mild and, in spite of the pollen, I am happiest in spring. ♥

We survived the level up day of my baby, he's now ten. Sigh... Now we get to suffer through play season for the middle boy. He's in Once Upon a Mattress (middle school version) and between play rehearsal and music happenings... it's a tab busy. Also, the eldest girlie is working her tail off to get ready to start college courses next year. Yes, she's only 15 and a sophomore in high school, but she's eligible for a program called Running Start in which she'll graduate high school and college (with an associates degree) at the same time. I'm exhausted just thinking about the crazy that the next few years will inspire. LOL

So, some stuff happened...

It's been a while, I admit, but I was waiting to say anything until it was official. I've added a couple events to my 2017 calendar. I hope you'll put them in yours and that I'll see you there. The first of the events is Spicy in Spokane on March 4, 2017, hosted by the lovely AJ Harmon. The second is Readers & Writers Event in Seattle on June 3, 2017, hosted by Shauna Kruse and Kruse Photography. ♥

Also, this time of year it tough on me so I've not been around for that reason as well. Mid-March marks the anniversary of my parent's wedding, the anniversary of my Grandma Stevens passing, and the anniversary of my dad passing. I sort of become a bigger introvert than usual.
