Today's spotlight is with Amber and TBR. I met her through another blogger and she's been willing to put up with me since. LOL I definitely got the better end of the deal when Amber became my friend.

When I interviewed her, I had a big smile on my face the whole time. Here is her responses to my questions:

Aside from loving to read, why did you start blogging?

Of course, loving to read! About a year ago, I was the Director of Promotions for a (now defunct) blog. I absolutely LOVED working with the authors, reading the books and just getting the word out about the books. I had planned to take a break between the promo company ending and blogging on my own but I came up with a name I loved (TBR Book Blog) no one had it (surprisingly) so I had to start the process to make it mine before someone else thought of it.

How long have you been blogging?

Officially blogging as TBR Book Blog – since March 2016.

Part of the book blogging community – since January 2015

Where is your blog’s home? US or abroad?

I’m actually in the US – California to be specific.

What’s your favorite book?

WAY too many answers to this question. It would be easier to narrow down by genre or even author. I have a variety of tastes so there’s favorite books based on genre. And too many to name.

What’s your favorite genre?

Hmmm, that’s a tough one. Romantic Comedy is probably my favorite.I like to laugh as I’m reading. Plus it offers an escape.

Is there any specific genre that you don’t care to read?

I’m not a huge paranormal/fantasy/sci-fi fan BUT I have read some an absolutely LOVE them!I’m so excited Kristen Ashley’s Fantasyland series will be having a new book come out soon!

What is the one thing about your blog that you think makes it stand out among the other blogs?

I think every blog and blogger I’ve met is amazing. This community has been so helpful to me.

What’s your favorite thing about blogging?

I personally love reading new books, new authors, and just sharing my love of books with those who are of a similar mind.

When you aren’t busy with your blog, what do you enjoy doing?

I volunteer a lot of my time with different animal agencies and rescues around town. I am a huge animal advocate and will do just about anything for them.

What would you like the whole world to know about your blog?

That I’m willing to help promote authors. I’ve had a few new authors come to me seeking assistance/advice. I’m willing to take what I have learned in this community and help authors out. New ones aren’t as familiar with the PR and promotional services available so I give them a run down and answer as many questions as I can so they can make an informed or more-informed decision.

Here are Amber's links for TBR Book Blog. I hope you'll take the time to go show her some love. ♥

I'd like you to meet the lovely Shy with vs. The Writer. She's another blogger I met through IABB and Confessions. I love being able to chat with her and love the unique view she shares, especially with the books she reads. ♥

Spotlight Interview Responses:

1. Aside from loving to read, why did you start blogging?

I already own a blog for random thoughts, then one of my favorite authors asked if anyone of us (street team members) wants to help her share the word of her new book. And I thought, why not? And then I continued doing it from where I am now. So I guess, I can say that apart from reading it’s my love for the authors that had me blogging.

2. How long have you been blogging?

Two years and a half.

3. Where is you blog’s home? US or abroad?

I’m from the Philippines and it sounds awkward to say abroad because from my point of view, US is abroad. :😂

4. What’s your favorite book?

That is such a hard question. I love a lot of books it’s hard to pick one. Sherlock novels and Harry Potter are two of my all time favorite.

5. What’s your favorite genre?

None. I go for anything I find interesting or sounds interesting

6. Is there any specific genre that you don’t care to read?

This used to be a No. But these days I stay away from erotica, m/m erotica most specially.

7. What is the one thing about your blog that you think makes it stand out among the other blogs?

I’m not sure there is any as pathetic as that may sound. I used to do a thing on Wednesdays but recently I’ve so busy I kind of lie low on my blog.

8. What’s your favorite thing about blogging?

Getting to know authors more, interacting with readers and bloggers like me and discovering new books to read.

9. When you aren’t busy with your blog, what do you enjoy doing?

Reading, travelling and spending time with friends.

10. What would you like the whole world to know about your blog?

That it’s a blog that blogs for love of authors and that its reviews are honest, maybe. Truth is, I don’t know how to answer this question because it never crossed on my mind before.

Thank you so much, S.H. Pratt!
